I love eating the pho here. They are so good . will be back. feels like I went to Vietnam and actually ate there. thanks
I really loved the spicy beef lemongrass soup with fresh veggies on the side. Word of advice: pay at the counter when you are done. Otherwise you could be sitting there a long time. There's only one lady working both the floor and the register. She's very nice but the place does get packed. They could stand to hire a server. But honestly the food is worth the wait.
Management has changed. Service is now done by Chinese crews. I ordered a clear noodle soup but got egg noodle and server said "why don't you just eat it". ?? Very shocking, disappointing. Price also has gone up about 30%. Food tasted bland, though menu had same selection. This will be my last time.
Very good pho soup! Plus entertaining Vietnamese TV show played in the background. The only thing was missing the bean sprouts. Instead we got cabbage which was also good.
Good food, could use a little better service
It's hard to put my level of disappointment into words. I orders the XL bowl..my wife orders the regular size...mine had exactly the same amount of food..but in a bigger bowl. Both of us had a combined 2oz of meat. 1/8th of a pound. The noodles were overcooked... Meat was not fresh. The food was bad. As for the service...we never received utensils(spoon, forks chopsticks, plates not napkins). Also, they never brought our the garnish for our bowls of pho. We've had Vietnamese food all over. Hands down...this is the absolute worst(in our past 19 years). Consumers beware.
Best pho I've ever had! Came out literally boiling so I could cook the meat that was given on the side along with homemade noodles. Service was typical of an Asian stripmall joint: informal but friendly. The only place I could take points off is the decor and cleanliness of the bathroom. Five stars regardless.
This place USED TO BE my favorite for pho & chicken banh canh. Ownership changed and I found out the hard way. The food is terrible now. The pho broth under new owners was so bland it earned the ranking of being the WORST pho I have ever had, by far. It tasted like barely flavored water. Never going back. Soo sad!!! This place had a great reputation and now it's ruined.
Ok food, ok prices and not-so-great value. Ownership change so the prices went up a bit but the portions are smaller. Definitely not the same taste. Service was efficient. I may have to put this one on the back-burner
Great food, quick service, and reasonable prices. The pork sub they have is phenomenal and under $5... Paired with a bowl of pho it's a true meal for a full sized guy.
This little hidden gem is to die for. Excellent service, the little adorable man who sits in close to the entry door is a sweetheart! I am assuming it might be the father or uncle. Quality of food was top notch and the cleanliness of the place was up to par. Keep it local, Mama Pops places have yet to disappoint so far. FYI my husband and I ate 2 vegetable soups plus 3 boiled eggs with a vermicelli entree addition to that and our check came out to less then $19.80 Well deserving of a big tip. When you see construction workers come in and eat clean it goes to show you how pleasant and pleasing the food can be. They do serve Gluten free Pho soup and use little soy or non at all depending in what soup you opt to choose. So I was happy they had all varities available specific to your diet needs.
Food was delicious. The pho broth was very good. Service was excellent. Overall a good family place.
Only giving a 1 star because the actual flavor of the soup was good however I have nothing else better to say. Ordered pho and we had to get our own chopsticks, ask for spoons, ask for the garnish. No napkins were given to us so we had to grab paper towels from the bathroom. There was hardly any meat or noodles in the soup. Super disappointed. Couldn't find anyone to help is so we calculated the bill and left the money on the table. Only then did they pay attention to us and told us we left without paying.
Very authentic Vietnamese taste, affordable price with right portion, vegetables are fresh. I definitely recommend for others.
I went to eat at Ben's location is on 62 Avenue North St Petersburg and I need to share this horrible experience I encountered. I ordered my usual #66 which is rice with pepper steak and onions well when I recieved my meal it was pork meat and the amount I recieved was very small compared to the other portions. I did not see the original owners . The crew there was all new faces and my server was not friendly at all. He kept staring at me while eating my meal and when the check came he stood right beside me while I Was singing my check.I will never go back there again I promise. Also they raised their prices for smaller portions of food.
The food is amazing. A small hole in the wall and if you didn't know it was there you would drive by. Don't be put off by the location if you want good food and a lot for the money this is a must try!
Their shrimp mini egg rolls are to die for ssoooooo gooood. And fresh
Best Vietnamese restaurant period...
Great portions and tasty Vietnamese cuisine. Enjoy there flexibility of adding and omitting ingredients your not crazy about. Cozy atomshere for Family's to enjoy a good meal! Friendly service and prices are so reasonable! Highchairs available along with handicap parking!
Excellent food and service! This is a hidden gem of saint Petersburg! The Pho soup and everything I ate there was fresh and was delightful. I'll be back!
It's rare to find a hidden gem, and that's exactly how I feel about this delicious bowl of Pho! Extra veggies in beef broth, and ALL the way delicious. Nice work guys!
Great food authentic, fairly priced. Small area but cozy for a small group.
Friend introduced me. Great little spot. Good prices and delish!
Best pho in town. They make it with fresh ingredients and from scratch. I will never go anywhere else.
One of our faves for Viet food in the area. In a very nondescript strip mall off 62nd Ave. I pass it all the time and had never noticed it before. Lots of parking and restaurant is a decent size.I think everything we've tried here has been pretty good. Hubby loves their caramelized catfish. The bun bo hue is good. So is the pho. Vermicelli dishes are fresh and flavorful. Decent sized menu, we still need to try a lot of items.Service is usually quick and always friendly. Prices are fair. Our go to recently when we have a Viet craving.
Great food and service!
Must try. Little restraunt you would never notice in a strip mall. I recommend the self roll entrees if you wanna roll up your own food.
This place is “meh” and was kind of culturally confused. It isn’t quite right, nor is it good. It was a very disappointing dinner. I think the cooks and new ownership should just scrap the restaurant/brand they inherited and create their own menu of what THEY like to cook because it’s obvious that what I ate was an interpretation of what they THINK the dish is? It was not Vietnamese food. It was not good.
Delicious Pho and Bun bo hue. Worth the drive
When Mekong closed I needed to find something comparable. This place is not Mekong, but it is better than most others I have tried so far. Spring rolls were great. Pho was tasty but a smaller portion. I will have to return to try it again.
Best Vietnamese food around! Have yet to ever have anything even average tasting. Everything is spectacular! Great selections too.
One of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants in the Tampa Bay area, hands down. They're a low key place with great prices and even greater food. A hidden gem. Outside may not look appealing but do your mouth a favor and stop by and order anything and everything because this place is good!
I love going here. We first discovered this place after driving home a different way from work one time. Its small but feels like home . Very good pho. And spring rolls are also delicious. Thank you.
Excellent Pho. Great service. Casual and friendly. Everything I've tried has been great.
The egg rolls are AWESOME!!!!! And soooo cheap.
Don't let the out of the way strip mall fool you, this place is a real treat. Service was fanrastic, the place is clean, and the food is excellent. I had the combination pho and spring roll appetizer, both were very good. The pho was full of ingredients and the broth was exceptional. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
Good food ! Pleasant ambience. Hosts were super nice too.
A great friendly place having Vietnamese food.
Quiet and Peaceful place. Food okay.
Terrible experience. Bad food. Worse service.
So far my favorite restaurant in St. Pete. Great food, great staff, very affordable. I love it
I live in Tampa and my boyfriend were craving for a bowl of Pho. I decided to go here to try out their food. It was worth it. Food is delicious! I haven’t had Bun Oc since I came to the US. I barely see this dish in the menu of Vietnamese restaurant around here. Highly recommended! My boyfriend had their Pho Tho Da which was good. We will come back for sure!!! Ps: the only reason I didn’t give 5 star is because the service was really slow. It took forever to take our order. But those who took our orders was nice to us. I guess because they didn’t have enough staffs on that day. Besides that, everything is great!
Always delicious, excellent value for the price, and they are happy to see us even we come back!
I like this place because it is serves more of the authentic Vietnamese food in the area. You know it is authentic when there are mostly Vietnamese people eating there. It is a small place but the food is very good! It has now become my favorite spot to come to eat!
Our favorite most delicious Vietnamese restaurant. The waiters are the coolest. And the food is awesome!!
I adore the atmosphere! its so nice and calm and quiet (depending on when you go) and the food is just an explosion in your mouth. i have been following the owners since then have been in the big lots plaza on 34th street. Their food is always at a reasonable price and their bathroom are so clean (unlike other places). I come to eat here whenever i am near or have the chance to come. its such an amazing place with amazing people. They are all so friendly. I had their phó , spring rolls, fried pork, rice cakes, Vietnamese pancakes and catfish in a clay pot, all so wonderful!
The food here is good, though portions seemed a little shy on the meat. The service is fine, and the place is clean, if a little bland on the ambiance. Overall I'd say 3.8 stars, which is a bit of a let down because I chose to try this due to it's highest 4.9 star rating of any Vietnamese restaurant in the area.
Delicious soups and boba tea; friendly and accommodating staff.
0 stars. Very terrible experience. I complained about the sauces being dirty and cross contaminated he told me they were very busy that day. I wish I took a pic of it. That build up takes way longer then a shift or even two. I wouldn't go there, even if it were free.
This is my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in this area!!! The food is always good. I have been here with just me and up to 8 people and have never had any problems with food or service. Great little place!
